Constellation
The "Constellation" series represented a change in direction creating a very different range
to the work that I had been producing.
I chose to follow a more conceptual path and
explored the idea that the stars should be the brightest lights in the night sky, however
they are being drowned out by hundreds of street lights which, from a distance,
sometimes seem
to form man-made constellations.
Using images of these man-made constellations to create
patterns on the surface of the aluminium, I took inspiration from traditional representations
of constellations to create pieces that form constellations on and around the body.
